Hi , just a bit of background on myself. My wife Anne & I have been running Camp JD since 2000 when Anne’s father passed away. We helped him at the camp since 85 when we returned from Alberta. Myself I’m a heavy equipment mechanic/welder so I’m just your average person.

I am a avid outdoors man & hunt & fish when not caught up at the camp. I know what it is like to pay out my hard earned cash for a hunting or fishing trip. That is why we strive to make your trip to Camp JD a memorable one. And those memories are to be enjoyable. Because we want you to go home happy & tell your friends what a great time you had. While you are staying with us we want to know if there is a problem so that we can correct it. We also welcome your suggestions so we may be able to improve our operation.

You don’t have to come here to hunt. The fishing here is good also. We are situated on the north shore of Nighthawk Lake at the mouth of the Frederickhouse River. When the lake is rough just head up the river. Or just fish right off shore. 10 lb. pickerel & 18 lb pike have been caught off of our shores.

Don’t hunt or fish try just sitting back & relaxing. You’ve worked hard so take a break. With our location you are only a 15 min drive on pavement to be in town at the malls or other attractions.
